We saw firsthand the challenges faced by people living in rural communities.
Across the Southern Highlands, many residents experienced limited transport options, long booking times, unreliable services, and last-minute cancellations. For many, something as simple as attending a medical appointment, buying groceries, or joining a social activity became unnecessarily difficult.
We also recognised that transport and community participation were often organised separately, leading to poor coordination, timing issues, and transport that didn't match each person's accessibility or support needs.
